For those who are not familiar with The Stendhal Syndrome, probably the most infamous sequence is the one depicted here as Anna wakes up to witness a brutal rape and murder by Alfredo immediately after being raped by him herself! Strong stuff indeed. Regardless of the content, this sequence is, in my opinion, a technical masterpiece and shows that Dario has lost none of his touch.
