| Thriller writer Peter Neal arrives in Rome to promote his latest book 'Tenebre' only to find that a series of murders are being committed by a crazed killer acting out the events described by his prose. | I actually cannot find anything bad to say about the print, which looks crisp. The colours are well balanced and there is no ghosting. |

| English language with Dutch subtitles, which unfortunately you cannot take off unless you do it during playback. The sound is very clear and sounds sharp. |

| Afilm seem to have let themselves down with the extras. A nifty looking DVD menu (which I could have stared at for hours. The light bulb and woman getting her throat slashed looks remotely interesting if you are stoned). The scene selection menu is pretty cool with numbered playing cards. There is a Dario Filmography and some trailers for Malefique, Bride of the Re-Animator and Evil Dead. It all seems to point towards a disinterest in giving Argento fans something to spend their money on. |

| The tightest and most enjoyable of Argento's gialli. Tenebre has some outstanding camerawork and virtuoso murder scenes that really put it a cut above the rest. Claudio Simonetti's soundtrack is also a favourite, very eighties but also very unique, giving the film a cool vibe. It does contain the shots missing from most other versions available (the second shoe, extra stabs, extended piazza scene etc...). A rather shoddy looking piece of artwork for the packaging. Afilm have produced something similar to a bargain basement DVD very reminiscent of 4-Front-Video in the early nineties. |
