New Claudio Simonetti CD's
On sale now, in the Simonetti on-line shop are the following CD's:

DEMONI - (1985) directed by Lamberto Bava and produced by Dario Argento, with the remastered soundtrack, all the "demos" of the main songs, the original videoclip of "DEMON" directed by Michele Soavi, the original TV spot of the LP with Dario Argento and the unreleased version of "DEMON" performed in November 2002 by DAEMONIA at the ProgWest Festival in Los Angeles

OPERA - (1987) directed by Dario Argento, with the remastered soundtrack, all the "demos" of the main songs, the original videoclip of "OPERA" and the unreleased version of "OPERA" performed in November 2002 by DAEMONIA at the ProgWest Festival in Los Angeles. The CD also contains the songs "STEEL GRAVE" and "KNIGHTS OF THE NIGHT" performed by STEEL GRAVE.

I just received a mail from Asia and she confirmed that she is not appearing in Romero's THE ILL as reported on a web site recently.

Simonetti news
Claudio Simonetti will be interviwed by Luca Rea for Italian TV company RAI 2's show STRACULT on Monday 4th of August at 22.45. The show will be entirely dedicated to thrillers and it will feature rare Goblin videos Also, DAEMONIA will be in concert at Alfedena (AQ/Italy) - Piazza Sannitica - Saturday August the 9th 2003 at 21.00.

Il Cartaio news
Dario has told Alan Jones that the new film is not going to be released in Italy now until the 2nd of January 2004. Apparently Medusa and Adriana Chiesa think it is really good and don't want it to get lost in the crowded Christmas market place. All the actors are dubbing next week.

Shivers interview Jessica Harper
The latest issue of horror magazine Shivers has an interview with Jessica Harper. She talks about her roles in cult films like Dario Argento's Suspiria and Brian DePalma's Phantom of the Paradise. It's on sale now priced at £3.99.

Dario at Trieste festival
Dario is the guest of honour at the Trieste Fantasy Film Festival taking place between November 25th and 31st. He's been asked to pick out his favorite horror movies and introduce them.

From the DAEMONIA newsletter:

"Dear friends, I have finished in August the soundtrack of the film IL CARTAIO (THE CARD PLAYER) directed by Dario Argento that will be released in Italy in January. The CD of the soundtrack will be distributed in December. The soundtrack is completely electronic and different from the preceding ones. I am now begining to write the soundtrack for the french film entitled SAINT ANGE, directed by Pascal Laugier and produced by Christophe Gans that will be realized with the big Symphonic Orchestra."

Four Flies in the UK
Four Flies on Grey Velvet is being shown as part of the Torino festival at the National Museum of Film and Photography in Bradford on Sun 12th and Monday 13th October at 5.45pm and 8.15pm respectively.

The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things
Winona Ryder, Vin Diesel, Jeremy Renner and Daryl Hannah will now star in the new Asia movie The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things. I've been told Tom Sizemore was fired by Asia who is directing the picture and also co-wrote the script. The film is based on J.T. Leroy's book. For more infomation on the author click here. Leroy lived with Asia for two weeks when he toured Italy last year.

100 scariest movies
Dario and Alan Jones have just finished contributing to a program that will air on Bravo in the US (not UK) that features SUSPIRIA and DEMONS amongst the 100 scariest movies of all time. This is not to be confused with the Channel 4 program in the UK at Christmas which is a different project, however it does also feature SUSPIRIA.
