Retired Detective, Moretti (Max von Sydow) is asked to assist in the investigation of a series of brutal murders that bear of the signs of a case that he worked on 17 years ago. The 'Dwarf Murders' included the violent death of the mother of Giacomo whose killer Moretti promised to find. Giacomo returns to the City and stays with his friend Lorenzo. When the killer strikes again, Moretti finally agrees to help and together they start to try to unravel the mystery and fulfil his promise from years before… From the opening credits accompanied by the eerie soundtrack, Dario Argento's unique style is evident as he creates a visual nightmare recalling favourite elements from his previous films: - the black gloved killer, the selection of shiny knives against red material, bloody weapons and beautiful women… I think you will agree that it sounds promising. Thanks to Clare for the info. |

| November 30th 2001 The UK DVD of SLEEPLESS from MIA is starting to look like a winner. It will be a 2 disc set with the second disc containing the recent EYE FOR HORROR documentary. My sources tell me that the film is unlikely to be cut by the BBFC which can only be good news. Lets keep our fingers crossed! Also, an extra special bonus is being lined up as I write which will make this release well worth owning. Thanks to Marc for the info. |

If you have suggestions, please post them in the forum here or e-mail me at tartandvd@darkdreams.org If neither of these methods is used I cannot guarantee I will be able to forward them to Alan. |

| November 16th 2001 In the December 2001 edition of the US magazine "Sound and Vision" in the 8 page article on "stocking stuffers" entitled "to give and to get", in the "boxes in breif:dvd" section under "Also available" right there in a short list of titles, along with the likes of "Jurassic Park" and "The Sopranos" is "Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA Limited Edition". It's great to see a mainstream magazine recommending Dario! Thanks to Chris for the info. |

| October 20th 2001 You may have read elsewhere that Dario's next film will be the sequel to PHENOMENA, considered earlier this year. I can confirm that this is NOT the case. His next film will be another giallo for Medusa. Also, credit to mischief maker Tim Lucas for fooling some people into believing Dario was going to complete a killer dwarf trilogy with a Sergio Stivaletti puppet as the star! |

| October 06th 2001 It seems that Artisan are going to release NONHOSONNO as SLEEPLESS in the US on VHS and DVD. There are no firm specs as yet but it looks like it could be fullscreen (VHS), widescreen (DVD) and uncut although it is pending a rating. lets hope they do the film justice, however, this cover art is not a good start!
