While it appears to be bypassing theatrical play, Artisan has announced that they will unleash the movie on video December 18. The film will be available on VHS and a digitally mastered widescreen DVD with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround audio, plus Argento commentary, a photo and trailer gallery, cast and crew biographies and other features. | September 20th 2001 I have been informed by Anchor Bay that they CANNOT replace faulty OPERA discs themselves outside of the US or Canada due to the fact they are not allowed to ship to other countries. When it gets imported to other countries, they aren't legally able to support it or acknowledge it, even though they know it happens. Sending out official saleable product on a widespread basis could get them into hot water with the licensors. In this situation, returning it to the retailer is the only method they can recommend. |

September 05th 2001 Apparently, Best Buy, an extremely popular US retail chain, has OPERA in stock a week early; standard and limited editions for $17.99 and $22.99 respectively. So if any US fans can't wait any longer and are looking to have the title this weekend, head over to Best Buy immediately. Thanks to Robert for the info.
August 31st 2001 I received confirmation from Amazon today that they have shipped my copies of the SUSPIRIA LE and OPERA LE DVD's. Many others have also received this notification.
August 28th 2001 I attended the first UK screening of SLEEPLESS at this years FrightFest in London on Saturday. The audience reaction was generally good with only a few laughs when the 'English horn' and 'dwarf murders' were mentioned. It received a good round of applause afterwards. The print shown was the uncut International English language version which contained the English language insert shots. The festival as a whole appears to have been a great success.
August 24th 2001 I have had a major database crash and so the forum is down at the moment. Sorry for any inconvenience and it will be back as soon as possible.

August 07th 2001 There is going to be a charity horror film festival in Colorado USA called BLOODFEST!, as it benefits Bonfils Blood Center. The festival will be showing three films one of which, is TENEBRAE to be shown on September 29th at 20.00. More info at the official BLOODFEST! site here: http://www.angelfire.com/movies/rmsel Thanks to Brook for the info.

August 07th 2001 I contacted Image about the forthcoming US DVD of EYE FOR HORROR and asked about the lack of extras. They told me that an attempt was made to try and obtain extra footage but the producer simply did not have any additional material to add for this release. Seems strange considering the amount of interviews that were actually left out.
August 02nd 2001 I just received some news from the Netherlands. After a very successful, and much appreciated, screening during the 'Festival van de Fantastische Film' in Amsterdam earlier this year (with Dario in attendance), NONHOSONNO (as: SLEEPLESS) will be touring the whole of the Netherlands, during the next 10 months or so as part of the All Night Horror Show. The All Night Horror Show is an annually returning road show where horror fans (and Argentophiles in this case) have the opportunity to catch a number of new horror movies that will not get a regular release, and/or movies that have had a limited run. The road show will reach both the major cities as well as quite a number of smaller towns (which is something of a first for these type of events). Dutch Film Works has provided the print for NONHOSONNO as well as some other movies (Ed Gein being one of them). DFW will be releasing the DVD later this year and considering some of the excellent discs they have released in the past, this is something to look forward to. Some of the other films that will be shown are: Ginger Snaps, Ed Gein, Revelation, Los Sin Nombre, Lost Souls Dracula 2000 and Cherry Fall. Check www.filmevents.nl for the finalized program in the near future. The All Night Horror Show will start this August 18th in Hoogeveen. Thanks to Rob Hatzopoulos for the info.
July 30th 2001 The time of the NONHOSONNO screening at FrightFest 2001 has been changed. It will now be at 15.35 on Saturday 25th. Although Dario will unfortunately not be in attendance, it will be your only chance to see it on the big screen in the UK. For a full FrightFest schedule, click here .
